瑞芳區背山面海，有最豐富的山海風光與人文景致，更有一段最燦爛輝煌的黃金歲月。然而，隨著礦業衰微，人口逐漸外移，已從黃金商城逐漸轉型為觀光勝地。
本校現有國中部普通班二十一班，合計約學生近七百人。
Ruifang is surrounded by the sea and mountains in the northeastern Taiwan, embracing the most fascinating scenery and humanity landscape; it has also stood out significantly in the history as a prosperous region. However, due to the declining mining industry, people started to move out, turning to the tour city.
There are 21 classes with a total number of 605 students in school.
